Austin Rettig, of Sikeston, MO, has been racing dirt tracks in Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois and Texas for only a few short years but has proven he has what it takes to win.
In only his first full season of racing stock cars, at the age of 11 Rettig won nine feature events against drivers who are two and three times his age. By the time he was 15, Rettig turned his attention to Super Late Models, traveling with the Comp Cam MSRA Series. At the age of 17, Austin made the decision to try out asphalt racing with the ARCA Series. In 2013, Rettig returned to the Super Late Models.
The Rettig family has been involved in racing for over 30 years. Austin's dad, Allan, started racing at the age of 16 only to give it up to help his sons get their racing careers started. Austin's brother, Nathan, started racing at the age of 5 and had advanced to late models by the age of13 the same year God brought him home.
Rettig is currently running as many races possible with the Lucas Oil Series, Mars, Comp Cams, and a few locals.
